St Martin-St Bart Bareboat Yachts
St. Maarten and St. Bart are a great bareboating alternative to the BVI and the Grenadines. St. Martin is the preferred starting point for charters that can include St. Barth, Anguilla, Saba and even as far afield as Antigua and St. Kitts and Nevis.
There is a strong French influence felt on all these islands i.e. St. Martin and St. Barth are home to some of the greatest restaurants and general culinary experiences in the Caribbean. St. Barth, of course, needs no introduction, quaint little hotels and restaurants, marvelous beaches and that SPECIAL FEELING of understated class and elegance that attracts celebrities from all over the world.
Anguilla is again home to the BIG MONEY, great beaches, but not the small island homey atmosphere of St. Barth.
St. Martin proper, is of course comprised of a Dutch side, St. Maarten and a French side, St. Martin and this duality makes it a fascinating place to start you charter. Many bareboat operators have bases on St. Maarten, the Mooorings, Horizon, Dream and others.
Main attraction, however is always St. Barth, but there are no bareboat operators there, and it lacks the transportation and docking infrastructure to accommodate bareboat bases.
